JamieEdwards  i'm not too concerned, yes you're losing privacy, but there isn't some dude sitting there reading your stuff, it all just gets mined by automated processes to find patterns and stuff

JamieEdwards  the concern I have is that the phone carrier is basically turning into a credit card company...are they able to collect interest?  are they regulated like the credit industry?
JamieEdwards  i don't think that would ever happen, RIM has way too much inertia
JamieEdwards  i'm not a fan of the "app store" paradigm, it makes the platform too closed, why can't we just download and install the apps from whoever we want?
JamieEdwards  or at least pick which "app store" we want to use instead of being locked in to the hardware vendor's app store
JamieEdwards  trouble with relying on the app store for filtering the malware is that once software makes its way onto the device through other means, there's no protection
JamieEdwards  companies like trend micro are making huge strides in the area of reputation based security software, it hashes the program and compares it to an online database
JamieEdwards  would be great to see something like that on a mobile device

JamieEdwards  i use chrome, I don't see the doodles anymore
